VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

  • Bible Leader - Leads the daily Bible lesson with enthusiasm, clarity, and age-appropriate storytelling. Needed just for first hour of the night.
  • Bible Helper - Assists the Bible Leader as needed with crowd control and supporting activities. Needed just for first hour of the night.
  • Snack Leader - Plans, prepares, and organizes themed snacks for each day of VBS.
  • Snack Helpers - Assist the Snack Leader with prepping, serving, and cleaning up snack time.
  • Games Leader - Leads high-energy outdoor or indoor games that connect with the daily theme.
  • Games Helpers - Support the Games Leader by setting up activities and helping kids throughout the games rotation.
  • Crafts Leader - Prepares and teaches each day’s themed craft.
  • Crafts Helpers - Help children with crafting steps and manage supplies during each session.
  • Music Rotation Leader - Teaches VBS songs and motions during the music station with enthusiasm.
  • Music Rotation Helper - Supports the leader in teaching songs and helps keep kids engaged during music time.
  • Crew Leader - Welcomes and checks in children as they arrive on the tablet. Is the head leader of the crew. Shepherds a small group of kids through each VBS station, building relationships and guiding conversations.
  • Crew Helpers - Assist Crew Leaders by providing extra support where needed. Shepherds a small group of kids through each VBS station, building relationships and guiding conversations.
  • Preschool Leader - Head leader for the preschool classroom, in charge of general flow for the nightly preschool classroom, as well as teaching the nightly preschool bible lesson.
  • Preschool Craft Leader - Leads the nightly craft for the preschool classroom.
  • Preschool Games Leader - Plans and leads the nightly game for the preschool classroom.
  • Preschool Helpers - Provide hands-on help in all areas of the preschool room.
  • Worship Rally MC - Hosts the opening and closing worship rally with excitement, helps with crowd control. Just needed for the first and last 15 minutes of the night.
  • Worship Rally Dancers - Lead kids in the motions and energy of worship songs during rally time.  Just needed for the first and last 15 minutes of the night.
  • Nursery (for volunteers kids not old enough for VBS) - Cares for infants and toddlers while their parents volunteer.
  • Middle School Leader - Leads the middle school group, plans all middle school lessons and activities.
  • Middle School Helpers - Support the middle school leader where needed and engage with middle schoolers throughout the week.
  • Registration - Helps new people register children for VBS on the tablets when they enter the church. Needed from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
  • Floaters - Jump in wherever needed to assist leaders, cover absences, or support transitions.
  • Sound/Tech/Photos - Runs sound and slides for rally times and captures photos throughout the week for parents and promotion.
