UPDATE AUGUST 6, 2020

Greetings, King's Chapel.

Today is Thursday, August 6th, and we will again meet indoors for Corporate Worship this Sunday, August 9th, at 10:00 am. We continue to extend our seating into the Foyer to allow for social distancing during the service. If you arrive while the service is in progress, please enter through the Fellowship Hall. There will be signs to help guide you.

Please keep in mind that every adult attending the service must wear a mask while in the building until seated. Once seated, masks can be removed. We encourage you to use the hand sanitizer stations positioned at the entrances and near the bathrooms.

We are offering Nursery as well as Children's Church for children ages Pre-K through 2nd Grade. We recently added Nursery and Children's Church to our Health and Safety Guidelines (attached to this update), and we encourage you to review those before arriving on Sunday. Some of the details include:

• Nursery attendants and Children's Church Volunteers are required to wear masks while indoors.

• Teachers are permitted to remove masks while teaching the Bible lesson as long as they can maintain appropriate social distancing.

• Volunteers will help children sanitize their hands before and after class.

• Children may wear masks, but masks are not required.

For families that choose to stay home, we will livestream our service and offer Children's Church lessons on Realm.

Let's continue practicing social distancing during, before, and after the service. If you want to come early or stay after the service, please fellowship outdoors and stay as long as you want.

UPDATE JULY 16, 2020

"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary" (Psalm 96:3-6).

Greetings, King's Chapel!

We've decided to post this update in written form instead of our typical video format. First of all, thank you for complying with our Health and Safety Guidelines last week. It was truly a demonstration of love toward one another.

We are gathering indoors again this Sunday, July 19, at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Please continue to practice social distancing. Every adult is required to wear a mask when not seated. Once seated, masks may be removed. If you have a fever or you are sick, please stay home. And if you are elderly, have underlying health conditions, or care for those who do, please use your best judgment.

Like last week, we will offer Nursery and two Children's Church classes during the 9:00 am service time only. The PreK & Kindergarten class will be located in the Fellowship Hall, where there is plenty of room. And depending on weather, the 1st-2nd Grade class will either be outside under a tent or in the Library classroom. The Hospitality Team will be on hand to assist with check-ins. Nursery attendants are required to wear masks as will Children's Church Teachers and Helpers while indoors. Teachers are be permitted to remove masks while teaching the Bible lesson as long as they can maintain appropriate social distancing. Parents, please be aware that we will not serve snacks during the Children's Church hour. For families that choose to stay home, we will continue to offer online Children's Church lessons.

And lastly, please also practice social distancing before and after the service. If you want to come early or stay after the service, please fellowship outdoors and stay as long as you want.

"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace" (Numbers 6:24-26).

UPDATE MAY 22, 2020

Hi, King’s chapel Family.

On May 21st, we posted a video on Realm laying out the reasons why the church is essential and outlining our plans for regathering on May 31st. Please take time to watch that video.

Just today, President Trump himself announced that churches are essential and called on them to open “right now, for this weekend.” In light of this announcement, we are gladly inviting ALL of our church family to regather this Sunday, May 24 at 10:00 am. We are meeting in the backyard of the church, so please bring a lawn chair. Please remember to read and follow all the Health and Safety Guidelines that we posted earlier today.

However, if your conscience prevents you, or your elderly or if you have underlining health issue or care for those who do, we encourage you to stay home and tune in to the livestream.

Again, please read the guidelines before arriving at church this Sunday. We are looking forward to worshiping with you soon!

UPDATE MARCH 12, 2020

In light of the recent news about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Pastors/Elders of King’s Chapel want to inform the congregation that we plan to continue gathering for Corporate Worship on Sunday mornings. We also recognize that some are particularly vulnerable to serious illness caused by the virus. This includes the elderly, those with chronic medical conditions (either respiratory or another type such as diabetes mellitus, renal failure, heart disease, or lung disease). If you are among those who are at a higher risk or if you are sick, then we recommend you stay home for the sake of your health and others.

And because we don’t want you to miss Corporate Worship, we will provide a livestream of this week’s service. Look for a Realm post on Sunday morning containing a link to the livestream.

If you do plan to attend on Sunday, then we ask that you take necessary measures to protect yourself and others by washing your hands regularly and thoroughly. We have hand sanitizer available throughout the church building. Also, coffee and tea will not be served.

We will continue to evaluate our plans weekly as new reports and health guidelines are released. And we will let you know if there are any changes to our Corporate Gatherings or other events. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Lou (lou@kingschapel.net).

Lastly, let’s not succumb to the panic. While we should certainly take all necessary precautions, let’s also demonstrate our faith in a sovereign God who is in control over his creation and show an anxiety-ridden world that peace in all circumstances only comes from knowing Jesus Christ.
